BENRO chief recognizes employee’s role in department’s success

CITY OF MALOLOS – In line with efforts to uplift employee morale and recognize their vital contributions in achieving departmental goals, Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office (BENRO) Head Atty. Julius Victor Degala has been actively pushing for internal recognition programs that celebrate performance and dedicated public service.

“We are proud to recognize the exemplary achievements of our colleagues at BENRO whose dedication and teamwork continue to uphold the highest standards in service to the Province of Bulacan,” Degala said.

Several BENRO employees received certificates and plaques of commendations from their head last Monday for their outstanding accomplishments in environmental law enforcement and service delivery.

Nierwin Custodio and Nathaniel Gonzales of the Legal and Investigation Section each received a plaque of commendation for their vital support in the successful conduct of an anti-illegal quarrying operation in Barangay Bangkal, Norzagaray last February 25, 2025.

Their investigation led to the identification and apprehension of individuals in violation of Republic Act No. 7942 or the Philippine Mining Act of 1995 and Provincial Ordinance No. C-005 or the 2011 Revised Environmental Code of the Province of Bulacan.

Meanwhile, the San Miguel/San Ildefonso Monitoring Point with its team leader Robin Cruz and members Jomar Vilela, Federick Velano, Eldred Bagaipo, and John Kenneth Fayton were given certificates of commendation for their diligence and teamwork during the monitoring operations conducted on February 18 and 19, 2025 that prevented the unauthorized transport of quarry materials without the required delivery receipt, thereby ensuring compliance with environmental transport regulations.

Moreover, the Best Employee for March award was given to Kim Ventoso under the Junior Category and Ronn Ryan Marcelino under the Senior Category for demonstrating exceptional performance and dedication to duty.

The internal recognition program is part of BENRO’s continuing commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and appreciation within the workplace, further motivating employees to uphold their mandate of protecting Bulacan’s natural resources.
