San Miguel District Hospital

The San Miguel District Hospital is located along the Maharlika highway in Barangay Old Sta Rita,San Miguel,Bulacan. It was constructed on a lot measuring 11,867 sq meters donated by Dr. Aurelio Sevilla. Congressman Rogaciano Mercado sponsored a bill creating San Miguel Emergency Hospital. The bill was put into law under Republic Act 3159.  Construction was started in 1960 but became operational only six years after its completion. The Manila Times published the story of the hospital being “sugahan ng kalabaw”. San Miguel Emergency Hospital was inaugurated on August 6, 1966 due to insistence of San Migueleños.

Mission
San Miguel District Hospital aims to provide quality patient care to the sick and injured through the help of competent doctors and nurses in a hotel like environment conducive to early recovery towards wellness.

Vision
Empowered Bulakenos who are active participants in the provision of health care services they need through the primary health care approach and unified district health system where the hospital shall provide quality promotive, preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic medical services as a basic component of health services to attain health for all Bulakeños in 2010.
