DOH-CLCHD recognizes Bulacan’s infectious diseases programs

CITY OF MALOLOS– The efforts of the Province of Bulacan in terms of its infectious diseases program implementation has been recognized by the Department of Health-Central Luzon Center for Health Development (DOH-CLCHD) during the IMPACT Awards 2025 held at Best Western Metro Plus, Angeles City in Pampanga yesterday.

On behalf of Governor Daniel R. Fernando, Provincial Health Office (PHO) II Dr. Hjordis Marushka Celis and PHO I Dr. Edwin Tecson, led the Bulacan delegation and accepted the IMPACT Award on Infectious Diseases Program-Bronze Award and Champion Partner for Infectious Diseases Program Implementation award from DOH Undersecretary for the UHC HSC Area I (Northern and Central Luzon) Cluster Dr. Mathew Glenn Baggao and DOH-CLCHD Regional Director Dr. Corazon I. Flores.

Usec. Baggao and RD Flores emphasized the importance of proactive, data-driven, and community-centered strategies, along with sustained partnerships and targeted interventions, in promoting disease prevention and management for a healthier community.

Aside from the province, the City of San Jose del Monte bagged the Excellence Award on Local Response for Infectious Diseases; while the Municipalities of Doña Remedios Trinidad and Plaridel took home the Excellence in Deworming Coverage award.

The IMPACT Awards reflect DOH CLCHD’s commitment to public health excellence, honoring the invaluable contributions of those working tirelessly to build a healthier, more resilient Central Luzon.
