Towns of San Rafael, Bulakan win Hari at Reyna ng Singkaban 2018

CITY OF MALOLOS – Out of 36 contenders, the prides of San Rafael and Bulakan towns were hailed as the new Hari at Reyna ng Singkaban 2018 during the Coronation Night held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city last night.

Reyna ng Singkaban 2018 Aubrhie Cindyrelle Carpio from Bulakan said that she couldn’t believe she won the title and shared the biggest challenge she had to face for the pageant, to lose weight from 62 kg to 48 kg.

“Sobrang saya. Apart from losing weight, I visited several tourist destinations in the province. Inaral ko talaga kung sino si Marcelo H. Del Pilar at iba pang mga bayani ng lalawigan at naging bahagi nila sa kasaysayan. Indeed, if you really want something and put your heart to it, kaya mong maging iyon,” Carpio said.

Being on the same page, Hari ng Singkaban 2018 Kyle Jebbo Dela Fuente from San Rafael agreed how diet, eight hours of sleep and being fit are important factors in taking care of one’s self.

“Kailangan po talaga maging disciplined ka, sundin mo ‘yung tamang diet, tamang oras ng pagtulog, pagkain ng healthy dahil makikita naman po ‘yun sa’yo, magre-reflect po ‘yung positive result sa katawan mo,” Dela Fuente said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Eliseo Dela Cruz, head of the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office, was thankful that despite moving the schedule to a new date due to typhoon Ompong, Bulakenyos still showed full support in the event.

“Ito po’y naging matagumpay dahil sa inyong lahat. Salamat po,” Dela Cruz said and ended his speech promoting #singkabanfestival2018 and #BulacanBabalikbalikan.

Other winners were John Russel Catakutan from San Ildefonso and Angelica Corporal from Bocaue as the Hari at Reyna ng Turismo; John Daniel Samonte of Bulakan and Leandrea Gabrielled Batingan of San Jose del Monte as the Hari at Reyna ng Sining at Kultura; and Paul Jeff Morales of Pandi and Aubrey Giezel Mendoza of San Rafael as the Hari at Reyna ng Kasaysayan.

Also, Rainier Angelo Santiago of Marilao and Trixia Dominique Capoy of the City of Malolos won as 1st runners up and John Ylbert Dinawanao of the City of San Jose del Monte and Janella Reyn Manuel were hailed 2nd runners up.

Corporate and special awards were also given to the candidates including John Ylbert Dinawanao of the City of San Jose del Monte and Aubrhie Cindyrelle Carpio of Bulakan as the Kerubin’s Choice Awardees; Sun Cellular Texters’ Choice Award were given to Valerian Dionisio of Calumpit and Marriella Anne Saenz of Marilao; and the Best in Formal Wear and Best in Long Gown were awarded to John Russel Catacutan of San Ildefonso and Angelica Corporal of Bocaue.

Further, Kyle Jebbo dela Fuente of San Rafael and Aubrhie Cindyrelle Carpio of Bulakan won the Best in Festival Costume; Photolab Asia’s Choice Award were given to John Ivan Estrella of Santa Maria and Patricia Bernadette Capati of Pulilan; Mr. and Ms. Photogenic chosen by the official photographer Sef Aniag were awarded to Rhon Rhon Nicolas of Bocaue and Aehrika Joy Gaji of Calumpit; and the Bulacan’s Choice Award whose winners were determined via the official photo and #BulacanBabalikbalikan challenge were given to Valerian Dionisio of Calumpit and Marriella Anne Saenz of Marilao.

Hari at Reyna ng Singkaban is the official festival pageant for the month-long celebration of Singkaban Festival 2018 with this year’s theme “Pamanang Kalinangan ng Nakaraan, Gabay sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan.”
