LUNGSOD NG MALOLOS – Senator Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian has encouraged the Bulakenyo youth to establish their own business during the opening day of “Bulacan Food Fair and Exposition (BUFFEX) 2016” held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city yesterday.

According to the senator who was the keynote speaker of the said expo, it is important that the youth must be given training on financial and accounting management wherein the Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), as one of the organizers of BUFFEX, would be able to expose the youth to start a good career in business and entrepreneurship.

“Dito po papasok siguro ang inyong grupo BCCI, dito dapat sa maagang edad na nasa college o high school pa lamang ay mapakuha na sila ng entrepreneurial skills,” the senator said.

He added that in this way, they will be empowered because they are the ones who will make their own direction for them to be successful in life.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado expressed his gratitude to more or less 50 indoor exhibitors, 18 outdoor exhibitors and 11 local government units who participated in the expo as well as to all the Bulakenyos who patronize the goods for it will be a big help to promote the quality products made in Bulacan.

Meanwhile, the BUFFEX recognized the ‘food champion’ in the province wherein special citations for culinary heritage were given to the following: Ortega’s Best, Jennie’s Chicharon, Zenny’s Minasa and Ocampo’s Sweets while Rina Aniag and Chef Jessie Sincioco were awarded as the Bulacan Food Champions.

Other parts of the program were the cooking demo and inter school activities.
