CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulakenyos from all walks of life were delighted from the moment rock icon Bamboo Mañalac enters the Bulacan Sports Complex for the Globe Night, a concert sponsored by Globe Telecom and one of the highlights of the weeklong celebration of Singkaban Festival.

With almost 17,000 Bulakenyos screaming and chanting the lyrics of his songs, Bamboo was overwhelmed and kept thanking the people of Bulacan for joining him despite the bad weather.

“Thank you Bulacan, I really appreciate the energy, kahit umuulan, magkakasama pa rin tayo,” Bamboo said.

All throughout his performance, Bamboo interacted greatly with the thrilled crowd, taking selfies, shaking hands and sharing his emotions with his songs that left Bulakenyos with a night to remember.

Before Bamboo conquered the stage, Bulakenyo local bands Stellar, Davo Project, Ice Cream Project and Deuterium performed while Globe Telecom energized the crowd with their fun games with exciting prizes to be won.

“Magaling, the security is great, the organizers did their part in bringing one of the most admired musicians in the country here in Bulacan. Bamboo as expected performed his best. The concert and fireworks display in totality were the best events in Singkaban for me,” Akiko Domingo, one of the audience said.

Immediately after the concert, the night sky shone bright as the fireworks exhibitors including Leegendary Fireworks owned by John Deiley from San Ildefonso, Sky Glitters Enterprises Inc. by Lea Alapide from Bocaue and PyroHaven Fireworks by Jonathan Sta. Ana from Santa Maria showcased their fascinating choreographed fireworks in the Pasiklaban sa Singkaban.
