Products from different parts of the country now available in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS – The Bulakenyos will now taste the best products of different towns in the country after the launching of the “One Town, One Product (OTOP) Philippines Hub” located at the Bulacan Pasalubong Center in this city this morning coinciding the opening of Singkaban Festival 2018.

The Department of Trade and Industry Usec. Ireneo Vizmonte who represented DTI Sec. Ramon Lopez as the guest of honor, thanked the Provincial Government of Bulacan for the opportunity to showcase the products of different towns in the country at the capital of the province.

He said, “napakagandang pagkakataon ito upang maipakilala ang OTOP Philippines sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan nang sa gayon ay maipakita ang iba’t ibang produkto at maging competitive sa palengke.”

He added that the program, which has been running for the long time, aims to give opportunity and to help the MSMEs included in the OTOP to improve their product quality and packaging.

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado also expressed his gratitude to the DTI because they have chosen Bulacan to launch the first OTOP Philippines Hub in Central Luzon

“Tayo po sa Bulacan ay nagpapasalamat din sa DTI sapagkat dito nila napiling itanghal ang mga produkto ng iba’t ibang bayan sa bansa. Isa po itong magandang oportunidad upang magkatulungan tayo sa pagpapaunlad ng ating mga produkto,” Alvarado said.

Meanwhile, the “Tatak Singkaban ng Central Luzon Trade Fair” and “Bahay Kubo Bahay Gulay” were also opened at the Eco Commercial Complex and Bulacan Pasalubong Center respectively.

Different heads of the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office in Region 3, members of Regional Cooperative Development Council and other guests graced the event.

The CL Tatak Singkaban Trade Fair will run until September 15 while the OTOP products will be available at the Pasalubong Center year round after it’s launched.

The OTOP Philippines Hub and Central Luzon Trade Fair were made possible through the Provincial Cooperative Enterprise and Development Office in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry.
