PGB to implement Digital Logbook System

CITY OF MALOLOS- After almost a year since the biometrics has been suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Provincial Government of Bulacan will start implementing the Digital Logbook System sponsored by NSPIRE Inc. on March 1, 2021 to keep track of the employees’ attendance.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando said the trial that started today will prepare the employees to the new work routine brought about by the many changes and arrangements in the past year because of COVID-19.

“This is to encourage the employees to be punctual. We’ve been lenient in understanding them dahil sa nawalan ng public transportation at nagpapasalamat ako dahil kahit ganoon, we are still able to serve our fellow Bulakenyos by working from home and skeletal arrangements using log books, but now we have to comply and observe work ethics while still following the health protocols,” Fernando said.

In addition, Cynthia P. Abiol, Provincial Human Resource Management Officer said that since the PGB will be using the digital logbook system, there is no need to submit the Daily Time Record (DTR), however, employees will still have to submit their weekly schedule for skeletal arrangements.

Furthermore, Norminda Calayag from the Provincial Planning and Development Office, explained that primarily, the application is for contact tracing purposes and in monitoring the attendance of employees.

“Itong paggamit ng QR code ay individual at itatapat lang sa machine, hindi kailangan ng contact sa machine o sa tao. Provided ang QR code sa mga empleyado at meron din para sa mga Bulakenyong sasadya sa Kapitolyo,” Calayag explained.

The system is made possible by NSPIRE Inc. by providing the software and QR code scanner at no cost to the PGB.
