PGB partners with Landbank to facilitate scholarship grants for over 2,000 scholars
CITY OF MALOLOS – The Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) announced its strategic partnership with the Landbank of the Philippines to streamline scholarship grant disbursements for Bulakenyo scholars during the recent Launch of the Scholarship Grant Payment through Landbank ATM accounts coinciding the Tulong Pang-edukasyon Para Sa Bulakenyo Scholars’ General Assembly held at The Pavilion in Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center here.
It was revealed that 2,046 Bulakenyo scholars will now receive their educational assistance through Landbank’s ATMs.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Our target is to support a total of 18,000 scholars through our collaboration with Landbank. This partnership not only ensures timely access to funds but also reflects our commitment to leveling up educational opportunities for our youth.”
The PGB offers educational assistance to Bulakenyo students enrolled in both public and private institutions, spanning senior high school, college, master’s, and graduate studies. The program also extends support to those preparing for board examinations, as well as marginalized sector including Indigenous (Dumagat), PWD, Anak ng Solo Parent, farmers, fishers and volunteer workers.
In addition to this new initiative, the PGB is currently developing more programs aimed at enhancing educational opportunities, including the upcoming launch of GO-KOOP for college students. This initiative will empower college students to acquire multi-skills and explore entrepreneurial ventures while continuing their studies.
“The future of our youth is a priority. By establishing this partnership with Landbank, we are taking a significant step toward providing our scholars with the financial resources they need to succeed academically and professionally,” Fernando added.
