Outstanding inborn Bulakenyos to be given recognition

CITY OF MALOLOS – Outstanding true blooded Bulakenyos will be recognized anew in the annual Gawad Dangal ng Lipi (DNL) on September 15, 2022, 5 pm at the One Grand Pavilion Events Place, Blas Ople Diversion Road, Brgy. Bulihan in this city.

The award categories include public service, professional, community service, entrepreneur, education, science and technology, arts and culture, trade and industry, health, agriculture, sports and Bulakenyo Expatriate.

Tanging Bulakenyo, the highest award to be given to a Bulakenyo, will be conferred by the Provincial Government of Bulacan to the individual who excels in any of the award categories stated above and with an outstanding contribution to the society.

“Sa kabila ng naranasan nating pandemya nitong nakaraang mga taon hanggang sa kasalukuyan, hindi ito naging balakid upang huminto ang ating Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa pagtuklas ng mga panibagong mahuhusay at natatanging Bulakenyo na may mahalagang kontribusyon sa pag-unlad ng kanilang komunidad at maging ng bansa,” Fernando said.

Among the previous awardees were Department of Justice Secretary Atty. Menardo I. Guevarra, Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Carlito G. Galvez, Justice Maria Theresa V. Mendoza-Arcega, Aurora F. Sumulong, Senator Blas Ople, former President Corazon Aquino, Regine Velasquez, Dolphy, Joey De Leon, and Arnold Clavio.

Gawad DNL is part of the culminating activity of Singkaban Festival 2022 celebration with the theme “Patuloy na Pagsikhay Tungo sa Tagumpay”. ###
