Nomination for GKA 2019 now open
CITY OF MALOLOS – The search for the most outstanding Bulakenyo youth is finally on as the Provincial Government of Bulacan through its Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office (PYSPESO) opens the nomination for this year’s Gintong Kabataan Awards.
Interested applicants or nominators may submit the requirements and needed documents until June 14, 2019 for the eight categories including Gintong Kabataan sa Kagalingang Pang-Akademya at Agham for High School and College Level; Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Sining at Kultura for Individual and Groups; Gintong Kabataang Entreprenyur; Natatanging Sangguniang Kabataan Council and Natatanging Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson; Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Paglilingkod sa Pamayanan for Individual at Groups; Gintong Kabataang Manggagawa for Professional Worker, Skilled Worker and Government Employee; Gintong Kabataan sa Larangan ng Isports for Individual and Group; and Gintong Kabataang Bayani.
Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that Bulakenyo youths never ceased to give glory to the name of their great province.
“Kung dapat parangalan ang mga kabataang bayani ng ating nakaraan na nagtanggol sa ating kalayaan, lalong dapat nating ipagdiwang ang mga kabataang Bulakenyo ng kasalukuyan na patuloy na nagsusumikap upang makamit ang rurok ng tagumpay para sa ating dakilang lalawigan,” the governor said.
He added that GKA nominees should be born or with Bulakenyo blood or residing in Bulacan for at least three years, must be 15 to 30 years old upon joining all the categories except for Gintong Kabataang Entreprenyur, and Gintong Kabataang Manggagawa for Professional Worker, Skilled Worker and Government Employee that can be joined by nominees up to 35 years old.
Also, nominees should submit completely filled out Entry Form, 2 pieces of Personal Data Sheet with signature and 2×2 picture, duplicate copies or certified xerox copies of certificates, certified copy of community tax certificate for 18 years old and above, barangay certificate of residency for 17 years old and below, certificate of Good Moral Character from the school principal for students or certificate from the Barangay Captain or the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office for out-of-school youths, and PSA certified copy of Birth Certificate.
He also reminded that previous awardees can no longer join in the category where they had already won.
