Fernando stresses right job for right people in Job and Livelihood Fair 2019
CITY OF MALOLOS- Governor Daniel R. Fernando stressed out the importance of aligning the Bulakenyos talents and skills to their prospective job in order for them to have professional growth and personal development during the “Trabaho. Negosyo. Kabuhayan Job and Livelihood Fair 2019” held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city yesterday.
“Dapat itugma ang mga pangangailangan ng industriya sa mga kakayahan, hilig at karanasan ng bawat isa upang maging tunay na produktibo sa anumang mga trabaho o hanapbuhay. We must grow where we are planted. Right job for the right people,” the governor said.
He also announced the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office plan to conduct monthly job fair and continuous livelihood training program in order to address Bulakenyos’ need for work.
Moreover, 49 local and 11 overseas employers offered job vacancies to 1,000 Bulakenyo job applicants where some of them were hired on the spot.
Enerlito Quizon expressed his gratefulness to the project because he was hired on the spot by the Robinson Malolos as a Sales Clerk in the Department Store.
“Napakalaking tulong po ng job fair na ito kaya nagpapasalamat po kami kay Governor Daniel R. Fernando para sa ganitong klase ng kaganapan. Thanks God din po at sa tagal ko na naghahanap ng trabaho, dito hindi na ako masyadong nahirapan, dahil hired on the spot na ako,” Quizon said.
Also, Bulakenyos received livelihood grants from the Department of Labor and Employment including 80 Negokart, 52 Bread and Pastry Production Oven, 85 Hilot Wellness Kit, 85 Candle and Soap Making Kit, 80 Beauty Care Kit and 80 Food Processing Kit.
Skills demo and free services like haircutting, massage therapy and candle and soap making were also offered to the attendees.
The event was also graced by Board Member Bernardo Ople Jr., Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Region 3 Regional Director Esperanza Cobarrubias, DOLE Region 3 Regional Director Ma. Zenaida Campita, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration Employment Branch Director Renato Limjuco and Technical Educational and Skills Development Authority Bulacan Provincial Director Jovencio Ferrer.
