DTI honors Bulacan with Gawad Bayanihan sa Pamumuhunan Award

CITY OF MALOLOS – In a remarkable celebration of exemplary governance and investment facilitation, Bulacan has been distinguished with the Gawad Bayanihan sa Pamumuhunan Award on March 13, 2025 during the prestigious 1st Gawad Bayanihan sa Pamumuhunan Awarding Ceremony at the Ceremonial Hall, Malacañang Palace attended by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla, DTI Secretary Maria Cristina Aldeguer-Roque, and SAP Secretary Frederick Go.

Bulacan’s recognition stems from its outstanding efforts in advancing investments as outlined in Executive Order No. 18, which mandates the establishment of Green Lanes for Strategic Investments. In line with the theme “Making it Happen with a Whole-of-Nation Strategy”, this initiative seeks to streamline processes and create a business-friendly environment that propels the province into the forefront of economic development.

The province’s initiative to implement Green Lanes has significantly reduced bureaucratic bottlenecks, attracted potential investors and enhanced the province’s competitiveness.

As Bulacan continues to pave the way for strategic investments, the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) remains committed to supporting local enterprises, fostering innovation, and creating sustainable job opportunities for the community.

“This milestone reaffirms Bulacan’s leadership in economic growth, sustainability, and investor-friendly governance. By continuously improving regulatory efficiency and business facilitation, the province strengthens its position as a key player in the country’s investment landscape,” Atty. Jayric Amil, head of PCEDO said.

On the other hand, Gov. Daniel R. Fernando expressed his gratitude for the recognition and vowed to continue the PGB’s undying commitment to enhance the investment climate and be a model that inspires other regions.

“Receiving the Gawad Bayanihan sa Pamumuhunan Award is not just an honor; It is a testament to the hard work of our local government and the collaborative spirit of our community,” Fernando said.

Other awardees alongside Bulacan were Laguna, Northern Samar, Cavite, Batangas, Ilocos Norte, and the City of General Trias.

The Gawad Bayanihan sa Pamumuhunan Award recognizes local government units that have demonstrated excellence in promoting and facilitating investments, thereby contributing to the growth and prosperity of their respective regions. ###
