Bulacan to crown Hari at Reyna ng Singkaban 2018 anew
CITY OF MALOLOS – The search for the next Hari at Reyna ng Singkaban is on.
After its successful launch last year, the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office continues its quest for the embodiment of a true youthful and beloved Bulakenyo who will serve as ambassador and ambassadress of goodwill to their fellow Bulakenyos on September 19, 2018, 5 pm, in front of the Provincial Capitol Building here.
Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said the event aims to discover the most splendid Bulakenyos who will serve as role models that will help the Provincial Government of Bulacan in promoting history, arts, culture and tourism programs of the province; and to empower the youth by instilling positive values and broadening their knowledge about their own culture and heritage.
“Tunay na ang Bulacan ay tahanan ng makikisig na binata at magagandang dilag na tigib ng magagandang asal at kaugalian. Ang mga kabataang ito ang inaasahan nating magiging magandang halimbawa sa kanilang kapwa at makakatuwang ng pamahalaan sa pag-abot nito sa tuluy-tuloy na pag-unlad,” the governor said.
Prior the coronation night, a closed door question and answer and festival costume competitions will be held on September 10 while the formal wear competition will be held at SM Center Pulilan on September 12 at 3 pm.
The soon-to-be-crowned title holders will each receive P20,000 cash, sash and a trophy for the Hari at Reyna ng Singkaban 2018, Hari at Reyna ng Kasaysayan 2018, Hari at Reyna ng Sining at Kultura 2018 and Hari at Reyna ng Turismo 2018 will each receive P10,000 cash, sash and a trophy. Also, the first and second runners up will be given P5,000 cash and a trophy each.
Special awards including Best in Formal Wear, Best in Long Gown, Mr. and Ms. Photogenic and Bulacan’s Choice Award will also be conferred during the coronation night.
Hari at Reyna ng Singkaban is the official festival pageant for the month-long celebration of Singkaban Festival 2018 with this year’s theme “Pamanang Kalinangan ng Nakaraan, Gabay sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan.”
The event is in partnership with the Provincial Tourism Council.
