Bulacan Medical Center receives new CT scan

CITY OF MALOLOS – Marking a pivotal milestone in health care service in the province of Bulacan, the Bulacan Medical Center received a new CT scan machine from Department of Health (DOH), Central Luzon Center for Health Development, and United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) under Asian Development Bank-Funded Health System Enhancement to Address and Limit (HEAL) COVID-19 Project that was held at the said tertiary hospital here last Saturday.

The turnover ceremony was attended by Bulacan Provincial Health Officer Dr. Hjordis Marushka B. Celis, Chief of Hospital II Dr. Angelito D. Trinidad, UNOPS Senior Project Manager Richard Mugacha, DOH Assistant Secretary Leonita P. Gorgolon, Central Luzon Center for Health Development Regional Director Corazon I. Flores, United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Country Manager Oscar Marenco, BMC employees, and Bulacan Provincial DOH staff.

With its advanced medical imaging capabilities, the new CT scan machine is positioned to go beyond traditional diagnostic methods and initiate a transformative phase of improved healthcare accessibility for Bulakenyos.

Meanwhile, Governor Daniel R. Fernando said in his message delivered by Provincial Administrator Antonette V. Constantino that having a new medical equipment ensures the continuous improvement of health care system in the province.

“Sa pagtutulungan po ng mga namumuno sa Bulacan Medical Center at sa entire health care system ng Bulacan, natitiyak po natin na maia-upgrade po natin lalo ang ating health care system as we transition to the ideal Universal Health Care System. Our wish for our citizens is that they can have quality health care that they need when they need it without the financial hardship,” Constantino said.

The continuous upgrading of health and medical services in BMC is in line with the goals of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. in terms of achieving Universal Health Care, thus ensuring a high-quality, affordable and easily accessible health services and facilities for every Bulakenyo. ###
