Bulacan gov offers P2 million reward for the capture of police killer in Bocaue
CITY OF MALOLOS – In a resolute effort to bring justice to the two slain police officers in Bocaue town, Bulacan Gov. Daniel R. Fernando offered a P2-million reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) initially apprehended one of the suspects known as alias “Dado,” who is the brother of “Athan” who still remain at large, both residents of Brgy. Bunsuran, Pandi, Bulacan.
Further, the Bocaue local government unit initially offered a P100K reward, followed by another P100K from the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3), bringing the total reward to P2.2 million.
Fernando, together with Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro strongly condemned the killing of the law enforcers namely SSgt. Dennis Cudiamat and SSgt. Gian George Dela Cruz, urging Bulacan Police Director Col. Satur Ediong to conduct extensive manhunt operation during the 1st Quarter Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PDAC) and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center last Tuesday.
The fallen police officers were also honored during the council meeting through PPOC Resolution 2025-002 or the resolution recognizing PSSgt. Dennis G. Cudiamat and PSSgt. Gian N. George Dela Cruz for their unwavering commitment and heroism to the province’s fight against illegal drugs and lose firearms.
Also, the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Provincial Government of Bulacan will also pay tribute to the two fallen police officers in recognition of their dedicated service through a Resolution No. 215-2025 or a resolution expressing the heartfelt condolences of the Provincial Government of Bulacan, led by Gov. Daniel R. Fernando, and the entire Sangguniang Panlalawigan, headed by Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, to the bereaved families of PSSgt. Dennis G. Cudiamat and PSSgt. Gian N. George Dela Cruz of the Bocaue Municipal Police Station, and honoring their heroism and dedication in fulfilling their sworn duty to the nation.
Fernando and Castro personally attended SSgt. Dela Cruz’s wake yesterday to present the Posthumous Service Award.
Accordingly, the incident took place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, during an entrapment operation by Bocaue Municipal Police Station personnel against individuals engaged in illegal firearms. The situation took a deadly turn when the suspects suddenly opened fire, leading to the tragic deaths of the police officers.
The authorities urge the public to cooperate and provide any relevant information that may lead to the swift apprehension of the suspect. Criminal charges are being prepared against the suspects for violations of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in relation to the Omnibus Election Code, Republic Act 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosives), and double murder.
