Bulacan gov lauds invaluable contributions of teachers to the society

CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado was all praises to all the teachers who were awarded in the 2015 Bulacan Outstanding Administrators, Teachers and Supervisors (BOATS) Awarding Ceremony held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, Tuesday in this city.

According to Alvarado, the knowledge, wisdom, and love that the teachers have imparted to their pupils will linger on and will help mold the character of their students in the future.

“Sila ang mga huwarang gurong itinuring na katumbas ng buhay ang kanyang pagtuturo. Wala silang kapantay sa karangalan at kadakilaan sapagkat ang kanilang kontribusyon ang bumuo sa lipunan at ang kanilang impluwensya ay magpakailanman,” the governor said.

Named best teachers in the elementary category were Mark Gil Andales Lavado of FSS Patulo Elementary School, Marilao North District; Editha Cruz Sayo of Hangga Elementary School, Hagonoy East District; Michelle Abawag Manuel of San Vicente Elementary School, San Miguel South District; Dahlia Reyes Salonga of Inaon Elementary School, Pulilan District; Renallie Bautista Estrella of Guiguinto Central School, Guiguinto District; Lorna Jumaquio Castillo of Bunlo Elementary School, Bocaue District; Gina Cruz Guballa of C.M. de Jesus Memorial Central School, Santa Maria West District; Merlita De Mesa Ynciong of Dulong Bayan Elementary School, District IV City Division of City of San Jose Del Monte; Rolania Molina Manlapig of Sto. Rosario Elementary School, Paombong District; and Serapio Pornias Legua, Jr. of FVR Phase 3 Elementary School, Norzagaray West District.

For elementary school head teacher category, Francis Cabalquinto Reyes of Manatal Elementary School, Pandi South District was cited for his extraordinary commitment, achievements and dedication.

Anne Pagala Castillo of Northville IV Elementary School, Marilao South District; Susana Trinidad Gabriel of San Jose Elementary School, Paombong District; Perla Estrella Dela Cruz of San Roque Elementary School, Pandi South District; Jennifer Encarnacion Castillo of Luis Gravador Elementary School, Norzagaray West District; Lorena Feliciano Villalon of Lagundi Elementary School, Plaridel District; and Restituto Santiago San Pedro of Hangga Elementary School, Hagonoy East District were feted for outstanding in the elementary school principal category.

Moreover, for Secondary School Teacher Category, Garry Dasig Galvez of Taal High School was recognized for his excellence in teaching.

Dr. Joel Israita Vasallo of Balagtas National Agricultural High School was named outstanding for Secondary School Head Teacher Category.

Lastly, named outstanding for Secondary School Principal Category were Dr. Ernesto Pagsibigan Dizon of Mariano Ponce National High School and Dr. Rosauro Agustin Villanueva of San Miguel National High School.

All the winners received medals, plaques and cash prizes amounting to P10,000 each.

The annual search bestows honor to administrators, teachers and supervisors who display profound commitment to youth development through exemplary competence, remarkable dedication to their work, and effective educational leadership.
