CITY OF MALOLOS- The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando personally delivered 5,000 packs of goods containing rice, canned goods and coffee, and one million pesos aid to the Province of Batangas as they were severely damaged by the phreatic eruption of Taal Volcano since January 12, 2020.

The Bulacan team composed of the governor, Board Members Romeo Castro, Jr. and Bernardo Ople, Jr., head of PGB offices, rescue teams, medical teams and uniformed police officers headed by Bulacan Police Provincial Office Provincial Director Police Colonel Emma Libunao first went to the provincial capital where they were welcomed by Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas before heading out to distribute relief goods at Batangas Sports Complex, which houses some 5,000 evacuees as of yesterday.

Fernando said that the aid is Bulakenyos’ way of giving back because when the province was devastated by Typhoon Ondoy in 2009, Batangas was among the first ones to lend their helping hand to Bulacan.

Meanwhile, Mandanas thanked the Bulakenyos for the support and said that seeing Filipino’s concern for the Batangueños boosts their people’s confidence.

Also, Cecilia Albufera, an evacuee staying at the Batangas Sports Complex since the morning of January 13, 2020, extended their gratefulness to Bulacan governor and to all the Bulakenyos.
