College of Social Science and Philosophy of the Bulacan State University recognizes Fernando as a value co-creator of Project HOPe
CITY OF MALOLOS – In recognition of his firm commitment to the welfare of senior citizens, Governor Daniel R. Fernando was honored as a Value Co-Creator of Happiness for Older Persons (Project HOPe)by the College of Social Science and Philosophy of the Bulacan State University during the Project HOPe Appreciation Day at the BulSU Hostel Function Hall here earlier today.
The recognition was conferred during a special ceremony wherein Atty. Nikki Manuel S. Coronel, Chief-of-Staff of the Governor’s Office, received the plaque of recognition on behalf of Fernando for his outstanding contributions as Value Co-Creator, along with Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Rowena J. Tiongson who also received a plaque of recognition for her efforts to design and deliver services that promote happiness, well-being, and social connections for older adults.
In his message, Fernando emphasized the importance of valuing the elderly as pillars of wisdom and experience.
“This recognition is for every Bulakenyo who believes that our senior citizens deserve the utmost care and respect. Through Project HOPe and other initiatives, we will continue working to create an environment where our elders feel valued, supported, and truly happy,” he said.
In August 2022, the BulSU and Provincial Government of Bulacan formalized their partnership for Project HOPe by signing a memorandum of agreement. This collaboration underscores their shared commitment to providing comprehensive support and resources to senior citizens across Bulacan. ###
