Alay Lakad in Bulacan brings hope to the youth

CITY OF MALOLOS – Aside from showing a strong unity in achieving a common goal, the “Hakbang Para Sa Kabataan” that ended at Tanghalan ng Sining at Kultura, Mini-Forest in this city also brought hope to the Bulakenyo youth.

In his message, Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado announced the big projects to be implemented in Bulacan which will benefit the next generation.

“Kailangang paghandaan natin ang mga hamon at pagsubok ng kinabukasan kaya naman patuloy tayong magsasakatuparan ng mga proyekto para mapakinabangan ng susunod na henerasyon tulad ng North-South Commuter Railway Project Phase I (Malolos-Tutuban Section), Bulacan Techno Hub Center na sisimulan sa 2017, convergence program for road infrastructure projects na mabebenepisyuhan ang mga kolehiyo at state universities at marami pang iba,” Alvarado said.

The governor also said that the youth are the hope of the country that is why they should be taken care of, honed and be readied for challenges to come.

“Kailangan sa negosyo ang mga batang may pinag-aralan, malakas ang katawan, malikhain ang kaisipan, skilled laborer. Dapat kayo ay alagaan, kayo ang yaman ko,” the governor added.

Gregorio Ramon A. Tingson, chairman of the National Youth Commission, thanked the Provincial Government of Bulacan for implementing programs that will benefit the youth.

Meanwhile, the Kenyo Band of Macoy Fundales and GMA 7 artist Christian “Chin Chan” Ramirez rendered songs for all the participants.

In the raffle draw, three winners were lucky to have won 50,000, P30,000 and P20,000 and ten 1,000 consolation prize.

The Hakbang Para sa Kabataan is a project of Bulacan Sports Council Federation, Inc. (BSCFI) headed by Dr. Danilo Faustino in partnership with the PGB, Rotary Club Malolos Hiyas headed by their president Elizabeth Alonzo and Pag-asa Youth Association (PYA)- Bulacan Chapter headed by Mar Dela Cruz.

The activity aims to help the OSY as well as the sports development programs of the province.
