Lupong Tagapamayapa in Bulacan receives recognition
CITY OF MALOLOS – The efforts of outstanding Barangay Justice or Lupong Tagapamayapa in Bulacan were not wasted after they were recognized in the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards this morning coinciding the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.
Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa from Barangay Abangan Sur of Marilao town was awarded the Natatanging Lupong Tagapamayapa for the 1st to 3rd Class Municipality Category and Barangay Bagong Bayan of the City of Malolos for the City Category.
Both have shown valuable contributions in the community as well as organized and effective implementation of the Batas ng Katarungang Pambarangay for the year 2015. Each has received plaque of recognition and P30,000 cash incentive.
First runners-up were Lupong Tagapamayapa of Barangay Tibag, Pulilan for the 1st to 3rd Class Municipality Category and Barangay Kaypian, City of San Jose del Monte for the City Category wherein both took home P20,000 while the second runner up was Barangay Parulan, Plaridel which took home P10,000.
Also, the Lupong Tagapamayapa of Santa Lucia, Calumpit; Tartaro, San Miguel; Malis, Guiguinto; and Pantoc, City of Meycauayan received certificates of appreciation.
The awardees were chosen based on efficiency in operations, effectiveness in securing the barangay justice objectives and creativity and resourcefulness of the Lupong Tagapamayapa.
Even though not present in the said occasion, Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado extended his congratulations to all the awardees.
The provincial governor said he is happy and proud that the respective Lupong Tagapamayapa of each barangay continues to improve their justice system.
“Inyong patuloy na pinalalakas ang pagpapatupad ng katarungang pambarangay at pinag-iibayo ang pagpapalaganap ng katarungang pambarangay na isang paraan upang ayusin ang mga problema sa loob ng barangay,” Alvarado said.
This award is made possible through the effort of the Department of Interior and Local Government in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bulacan and Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas through the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA).
