PGB receives P5 million livelihood grant for Bulakenyo scholars

A GOOD START. Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado receives a ceremonial check amounting to P5 million from Atty. Ana Dione, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Director, R.O. 3 to be used to fund the starter kits for skills training graduates during the Public Employment Service Office-Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Training for Work Scholarship Program (PESO-TESDA TWSP) 2017 Implementers Meeting and Awarding of Scholarship Grant held in Balagtas Hall, HBCC, City of Malolos, Bulacan, Friday morning. CITY OF MALOLOS – Good news for scholars in Bulacan.

The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado and Vice Governor Daniel R. Fernando received a P5 million check from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) as a livelihood grant to be used to fund the starter kits for skills training graduates in the province.

The check was personally handed by Atty. Ana Dione, DOLE Regional Director in Central Luzon, during the Public Employment Service Office-Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Training for Work Scholarship Program (PESO-TESDA TWSP) 2017 Implementers Meeting and Awarding of Scholarship Grant held in Balagtas Hall, HBCC in this city, Friday morning.

Alvarado thanked the DOLE for helping students in the province which he said are the “modern day treasures” of Bulacan.

He said that Bulacan is very fortunate for being the recipient of vital assistance from the national government in helping young Bulakenyos become achievers and productive members of society.

The governor said that TESDA has also allotted 7,000 scholarship slots for TWSP in Bulacan this coming school year.
