The CompanY to show off in Singkaban Festival

Governor’s Night

CITY OF MALOLOS-The popularly known Asia’s premiere vocal harmony act, The CompanY, will star in the “Governor’s Night” on September 13, 2018, 6 pm at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.

As one of the much awaited activities during Singkaban Festival, the group composed of OJ Mariano, Moy Ortiz, Sweet Plantado, Annie Quintos and Cecile Bautista will entertain the Bulakenyos through great renditions of their various popular hit songs like “Muntik Na Kitang Minahal”, “Pakisabi Na Lang Na Mahal Ko Siya”, “Special Memory”, “Now That I Have You”, Baka Ikaw”, “Everlasting Love” and many more.

The said group was formed in 1985 who were all Ateneo College Glee Club alumni wherein before being professional recording artists and stars in their own concerts, they were first back up vocalists of Pinoy pop stars during the ‘80s.

And because of their exceptional talent in music, they were able to bag more than 50 awards including Recording of the Year for the “Everlasting Love” during The First Pinoy Music Awards in 1991; Gold Record Award for ’Yon Na!; Best Group Award held at the Third Annual Young Celebrity Awards; Album of the Year in 1992 Awit Awards; Artist of the Year in the 2013 Star Awards for Music; Best Concert of the Year; and Awit Awards Best World Music Recording among others.

Meanwhile, Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado invites all the Bulakenyos to support the free concert sponsored by Smart Communication for the festive celebration of Singkaban Festival 2018 with the theme “Pamanang Kalinangan ng Nakaraan, Gabay sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan”.

“Taun-taon po ay ninanais natin na mapagkalooban kayo ng masaya at makulay na Singkaban Festival sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang aktibidad. At ngayong taon, hatid natin ang mahusay na mga mang-aawit na The CompanY upang haranahin kayong lahat ng libre,” Alvarado said.

The said concert is made possible through the efforts of the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Administrator’s Office and Smart Communication.
