‘Bato’ to celebrate Valentine’s Day with solo parents in Bulacan

MALOLOS CITY – One thousand one hundred thirty-eight solo parents in Bulacan will not celebrate Valentine’s Day solo because former PNP Chief Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa will accompany them for the “Pangkalahatang Pagtitipon ng Solo Parents sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan at Pamamahagi ng mga Instructional Material sa mga Child Development Worker” on February 14, 2019, 8 am at The Hiyas Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city.

With theme “Sa Araw ng mga Puso, Di Ka Nagsosolo, Kasama mo si BATO”, the activity aims to pay tribute to solo parents who patiently and bravely exerted all their efforts to support their family.

According to Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, it’s important to let the solo parents feel that they have a partner in providing for the needs of their family and that the Provincial Government of Bulacan supports their goals of giving a better future for their children.

“Ang ating mga solo parent ay para na ring mga bayani sapagkat kahit nag-iisa, patuloy nilang itinataguyod ang kanilang pamilya, patuloy na sinusuportahan at ipinagkakaloob sa kanilang mga anak ang mga pangangailangan ng mga ito at hindi sumusuko gaano man kahirap ang landas na kanilang dapat tahakin. Tunay na sila ay dapat nating pahalagahan at ipagmalaki,” Alvarado said.

Also expected to attend the activity are the 460 Child Development Workers.

Meanwhile, as part of the program, there will be an Orientation on First Aid and Disaster Management, dispensation of anti-flu vaccine and showcasing of talents of solo parents.

The annual assembly is the initiative of the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
