Bulacan conducts simulation exercise for the vaccination against COVID-19
CITY OF MALOLOS –The Provincial Government of Bulacan through its team that will lead the COVID -19 vaccination has conducted a simulation exercise for COVID-19 vaccination plan at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city today.
According to the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) and Provincial Health Office – Public Health said, more than 20 participants who are hired contact tracers of DILG have undertaken the said exercise wherein some of them followed the steps including Step 1 – for waiting area, Step 2 – registration area, Step 3 -counseling area, Step 4 – screening area, Step 5 – vaccination area and Step 6 – observation area.
After the presentation of ID for vaccination, they were given vaccination card and consent form while vaccination was done in one to two minutes only per person.
Aside from flyers distribution, an audio visual presentation was also shown for additional information on COVID-19 vaccination.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando advises those who will be vaccinated to arrive promptly on scheduled date and time and to follow the said step-by-step guide.
Fernando said to the Bulakenyos, “kayo po ay aking kinukumbinsi na magpabakuna dahil ang pandemyang ito ay kumitil na ng maraming buhay sa mundo at malaki ang epekto sa pagbagsak ng ekonomiya ng bansa”.
He added that the arrival of the vaccines will be of big help to curb the transmission of the virus.
Meanwhile, included in the first group to be vaccinated are health care workers and frontliners from BMC wherein the efficiency, readiness and capability of Bulacan have been tested.
Dr. Shiela Yu and JayR Carreon of the Department of Health Region 3 joined the simulation exercises and gave their comments and suggestions to further improve the conduct of the activity. ###
