Thousands of LLNs and Mother Leaders receive subsidy from PGB

CITY OF MALOLOS – To further enhance the services and boost their morals, 4,166 Mother Leaders (ML) and 636 Lingkod Lingap sa Nayon (LLN) were given P3,200 and P4,000 subsidy each during the two-day program of the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) dubbed as ‘Distribution of Allowance to Mother Leaders and Lingkod Lingap sa Nayon’.

Spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, a total of 1,275 MLs and 169 LLNs from District I and 1,061 MLs and 170 LLNs from District III received their cash incentives last Monday, July 11 at the Bulacan Sports Complex, Brgy. Sta. Isabel here while 868 MLs and 152 LLNs from District II and 962 MLs and 145 LLNs from District IV received theirs last Friday at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here.

Meanwhile, Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando said that the PGB depends on the ML and LLNs in ensuring that the grassroots level receive the aid of the government as well being informed about important announcements.

“Mahalaga ang gampanin ng ating mga Mother Leaders at Lingkod Lingap sa Nayon; sila ang kumakatawang ina sa ating mga komunidad na kumakalinga at nangangalaga sa ating mga kalalawigan, lalo na iyong mga nangangailangan. Sila ang katuwang ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan at umaasa kami sa inyong mabuting serbisyo upang lalong mapabuti ang ating lalawigan. Asahan ninyo na patuloy rin ang suporta sa inyo ng pamahalaan kapalit ng inyong walang katumbas na pagmamahal sa ating kapwa,” the governor said.

Cash incentives for the ML and LLNs were given regularly every quarter.

The quarterly meeting was held coinciding the celebration of Nutrition Month wherein the PSWDO also discussed the governor’s directives regarding the prevention and control against dengue and the assistance that can be provided by the government through the MLs and LLNs. ###
