400 Bulakenyos receive P15,000 livelihood grant from Sen Bong Go
CITY OF MALOLOS– A total of P6 million worth of livelihood assistance grants from the Department of Social Welfare and Development through the Office of Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go were distributed to 400 Bulakenyo small-scale retail owners from low-income households affected by COVID-19 in the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city today.
The project is intended to assist families whose sources of income were greatly affected by the pandemic and is focused on the re-establishment and rebuilding of the informal and local businesses, and stimulates economic activity within the province.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando thanked Senator Go for his aid and support to the Bulakenyos.
Although not physically present, Senator Go encouraged the beneficiaries to put the grant into good use and grow their businesses through it.
Go said via video message.
Aside from the livelihood grants, Senator Go raffled 20 volleyballs, 20 basketballs, two cellphones, four pairs of rubber shoes, and one bicycle to the participants.
“Ang advocacy ko po, get into sports and stay away from drugs. ###
