Provincial Government of Bulacan

“We need to reciprocate with public service the power entrusted to us” – Fernando

CITY OF MALOLOS– “We have no power over ourselves, other than the trust bestowed to us by our constituents. We need to reciprocate with public service the power entrusted to us.”

This was the message of Governor Daniel R. Fernando to himself and to his co-public servants as he took his oath of office for his second term as the 35th Governor of the Province of Bulacan during the “Pasinaya at Pagtatalaga sa Tungkulin ng Lahat ng Bagong Halal na Opisyal sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan” held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city yesterday.

Fernando said that being a great son of the province was neither his dream nor plan but he is accepting it with full humility.

He also looked back on the events of the last three years and reminisced the challenges he had to survive just a few months after his first term has officially started.

Looking forward he said that his future plans are aligned with those of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.’s especially those regarding agriculture, infrastructure, and employment.

Finally, Fernando called on his fellow public officials to unite for further progress and development of the province and of the country.

On the other hand, former Governor Roberto Pagdanganan praised Fernando’s quick response against the COVID-19 pandemic.

‘Yan si Governor Daniel,” the former governor said.

Meanwhile, other public officials who took their oath yesterday were Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, Board Members, Congressmen, Mayors, Vice Mayors, and Councilors of the all the cities and municipalities of the province. ###
