Provincial Government of Bulacan

Report shows 96% COVID recovery rate
Fernando looks back on province’s milestones vs the pandemic

CITY OF MALOLOS- Governor Daniel R. Fernando looks back on Bulacan’s proactive initiatives that led the province to win the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic during the 11th Joint Meeting of the Response, Law and Order, and Recovery Clusters of the Provincial Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 via Zoom application yesterday.

Fernando believes that reviewing the actions taken will allow him and the whole province to know that they are in the right direction.

“Sa ating mabilis na pagkilos at paghahanda, naisagawa natin ang sumusunod- paghihiwalay ng COVID at non-COVID patients, agad na pagtatatag sa BICC, pagtatayo ng sariling testing at diagnostic facility sa loob lamang ng isang buwan, pagtatayo ng GeneXpert laboratory, at pagsunod sa PDITR strategy na kinilala ng IATF bilang isa sa sistematikong pagtugon ng mga LGU sa buong bansa,” the governor enumerated.

He also recalled the steps taken after the surge of COVID cases due to new variants of the virus last February 2021.

“Ipinatupad natin ang Bulacan Surge Capacity System, nagsagawa ng pagbabago sa work arrangement sa Kapitolyo, and focused on preventing and containing the COVID-19 pandemic habang inaalalayan natin ang socio-economic impact sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang uri ng ayuda mula sa pondo ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan at tulong mula sa mga national agencies at mga non-government organizations,” he added.

The provincial chief executive thanked the health workers, frontliners, and all the Bulakenyos for following health protocols that led to the continuous decrease of COVID cases.

“Sa mga pinakahuling ulat, gumaganda ang bunga ng ating mga pagsisikap to manage the health risks habang nagsisikap tayo tungo sa socio-economic recovery sa pagbubukas ng ating ekonomiya,” the governor said.

During the meeting, PTF Response Cluster Head Dr. Hjordis Marushka Celis reported that 96% or 39,227 of the total 40,922 confirmed COVID cases in the province recovered, two percent or 815 are still active, and another two percent or 880 died from the virus. ###
