CITY OF MALOLOS- Bulacan Gov. Daniel R. Fernando and Dr. Corazon Flores, Regional Director from the Department of Health Central Luzon for Health Development, signed the Memorandum of Agreement for the implementation of Medical Assistance Program for Bulakenyos yesterday during the ceremonial signing dubbed as “Seremonya ng Paglagda sa Kasunduan Medical Assistance Program Para sa Bulakenyo” held at Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here.

Senator Risa Hontiveros witnessed the signing along with Bulacan Vice Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, Provincial Administrator Antonia Constantino and some of the chiefs of government hospitals in the province.

The said program will allocate certain funds for government hospitals in Bulacan that will help eligible patients who are seeking consultation, rehabilitation, examination or otherwise confined in government hospitals, regardless of room category as determined by the DOH, which will help them attain the zero-bill policy that is currently being implemented.

Meanwhile, Fernando expressed his appreciation for all the support and aids that the province has been receiving.

Based on the MOA, the PGB shall ensure availability of medicines, medical supplies and other health care services in provincial and district hospitals while the hospitals are responsible to facilitate the implementation of approved medical assistance to eligible patients, ensure availability of medicines, medical supplies and other health care services needed by the eligible patients, and ensure that in no case shall the grant of assistance to eligible patients be delegates and/or transferred to a non-government organization or similar organizations among others. ###
