New Hari at Reyna ng Bulacan to be crowned on September 10

CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulakenyo men and women will vie to be the next king and queen come September 10, 2016 as the most coveted pageant in the province, Hari at Reyna ng Bulacan Coronation Night take place at 7:00 in the evening at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that this prestigious pageant does not only recognize physical beauty but also great talents, intelligence and good moral values and moral character of Bulakenyo youth.

“Ilang beses na nating napatunayan na ang mga kabataang Bulakenyo ay hindi lamang maganda ang pisikal na anyo kundi mayaman din sa kaalaman at talento. Dahil dito, ako’y naniniwala na ang mga mapipiling koronahan sa nalalapit na Hari at Reyna ng Bulacan Coronation Night ay magiging mahuhusay na halimbawa at modelo sa kabataang Pilipino,” Alvarado said.

According to the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office, organizer of the said activity, among the titles to be won for the men are: Hari ng Bulacan and Ginoong Bulacan who will be the official candidates for the national competition; Hari ng Bulacan – WCOPA; Hari ng Bulacan – Globe; Hari ng Bulacan – Republika; Hari ng Turismo; and runner up places.

As for the women, the titles to be won include: Reyna ng Bulacan and Binibining Bulacan who will also represent the province in the national competition; Reyna ng Bulacan – World; Reyna ng Bulacan – Earth; Reyna ng Bulacan – Republika; Reyna ng Turismo; and runner up places.

Winners will receive cash incentive, trophy and sash.

Prior to this, around 52 official candidates wherein 25 are male and 27 are female, have showcased their talents in the Talent Competition held last August 21 while the Formal Wear Competition was held last September 4 at the Event Center of Robinsons Place Malolos.

The said competition organized by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through PHACTO is made possible with the support and cooperation of the Provincial Tourism Council and Ginoo at Binibining Bulacan Charities Inc.
