More than four thousand Bulakenyos benefit from free health services

FREE MEDICAL AND SURGICAL MISSION. Thousands of Bulakenyos patiently wait for their turn to avail of the free four-day medical and surgical mission of the Philippine Medical Association Medical Mission Foundation of Greater St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America and the Provincial Government of Bulacan held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, City of Malolos, Bulacan from January 21 to 24, 2019. CITY OF MALOLOS – A total of 4,049 Bulakenyos were given their much-needed health care by the Provincial Government of Bulacan and Philippine Medical Association, Medical Mission Foundation of Greater St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America during the free medical and surgical mission held last January 21-24, 2019 at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium and Bulacan Medical Center in this city.

A total of 3,796 beneficiaries benefited from the free consultation and checkup while 253 patients underwent minor, medium and major operations.

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado thanked the said association of doctors for their continuous support in serving the underprivileged Bulakenyos.

“Lubos pong umaasa ang inyong abang lingkod na magpapatuloy ang malapit na ugnayan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan at ng Philippine Medical Association Medical Mission of Greater St. Louis, Missouri, USA sa mahaba pang panahon upang lalo pang maragdagan ang mga Bulakenyong ating mapaglilingkuran. Taimtim rin po tayong umaasa na ang maikling panahon ng inyong pananatili sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan ay napuno ng kasiyahan, kaluguran at hindi malilimutang alaala na inyong babaunin sa inyong muling pagbabalik,” Alvarado said.

The governor also said that one best way to repay their kindness to the people is to incessantly improve the medical capabilities of public hospitals through modernization of hospital facilities, procurement of medical equipment and medicines, and most importantly, having the heart for public service.

“Lubos ang pasasalamat ko sa lahat ng bumubuo ng medical mission na ito dahil sa tulong ninyo, nasolusyunan ang matagal ko ng iniindang sakit sa tiyan,” Mary Macapagal said, one of the beneficiaries from Brgy. Cutcot, Guiguinto.
