Jack Roberto adds spice to Singkaban Festival’s Hakbang Para sa Kabataan 2018

HAKBANG PARA SA KABATAAN 2018. Students from ACLC College Malolos walk from Malolos Sports and Convention Center to Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, City of Malolos, Bulacan yesterday where the main program of the “Hakbang para sa Kabataan 2018” will take place.

CITY OF MALOLOS – The ‘Pambansang Pandesal’ Jack Roberto was back in Bulacan to give thousands of Bulakenyo youths an inspired morning in his second time of joining the “Hakbang Para Sa Kabataan”, a fund raising activity of the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports, and Public, Employment Services Office (PYSPESO).

After an hour of alay lakad from two points of origin, one from Asianland Grand Royale in Brgy. Pinagbakahan and the other from Malolos Sports and Convention Center that both ended at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city, a short program was held early Wednesday morning.

Roberto, a GMA artist and a native of Bulacan, encouraged more than 5,000 youths to engage in sports and to keep being friendly.

“Masaya po akong makapiling kayong muli para sa isang makabuluhang pagkakataon, ipagpatuloy po natin ang pangangarap para sa magandang kinabukasan at ang pagiging daan para matupad din ang mga pangarap ng kapwa natin kabataan,” Roberto said.

Vice Gov. Daniel R. Fernando on behalf of Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado expressed his gratitude to those who bought tickets for the activity in support to the out-of-school youth (OSY) and improvement of sports development in the province.

“Malaking tulong ang inyong naiambag para sa mga kabataang nawalan na ng pag-asa. Huwag kayong magsawang gawin ito. Sa darating na panahon, malayo pa ang inyong hahakbangin, maraming pagsubok pa ang inyong haharapin pero lagi n’yong tandaan kapag may sakripisyo, may tagumpay,” Fernando said.

Prior the walk, the PYSPESO sold raffle tickets for P10 each wherein there were winners of one P50,000, P30,000, P20,000 and P10,000 and four winners of P5,000.

They also awarded the three biggest delegations wherein the City of Malolos Integrated School won the biggest delegation title and took home P5,000, Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School won second place and received P3,000 and Bulacan Polytechnic College won the third place and received P2,000.

Moreover, Cong. Jose Antonio R. Sy-Alvarado for his part gave his hotline number 09179252826 for Bulakenyos who need assistance. He also spontaneously gave educational assistance to Vince Sullera, a Grade 12 student of Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School, who answered a question during his speech and said that more students can also become scholars as long as they meet the requirements.
