CITY OF MALOLOS – “In the midst of our colorful and festive celebration, we gather because the message of our celebration tonight is simple—Christmas is a time of unity. As we light up our Christmas tree, only one star stands out to us; only one cold breeze do we feel; only one emotion prevails in our hearts—the joy of the birth of our Savior.”

This is the deeply felt words of Governor Daniel R. Fernando to hundreds of Bulakenyos who gathered in front of the Bulacan Capitol Building here last night to witness the “Paskong Bulacan: Pag-iilaw ng Krismas Tree”.

As the holiday season kicks off, Ferando also seized the opportunity to convey his appreciation to the Bulakenyos for their unwavering support despite the challenges that the province endured this year.

Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro also reminded Bulakenyos to reciprocate kindness that they received by performing acts of goodwill for those facing hardships.

Led by Fernando and Castro, Bulakenyos came together to experience the beginning of a season filled with joyous spirit through the 30-foot PGB Christmas Tree that illuminated the Capitol compound accompanied by mesmerizing fireworks display that added radiance to the Christmas spirit.

Bulakenyos also got to enjoy the ‘Parada ng Bulacan Christmas Carozzas’ featuring eight Christmas floats adorned with lights and holiday decorations that rolled down the roads from Malolos Sports Convention Center to the front of Capitol building.

The Paskong Bulacan program was also attended by the members of Sangguniang Panlalawigan, PGB Department heads headed by Antonette V. Constantino and employees. ###
