Hundreds of jeepney drivers join Singkaban Festival

CITY OF MALOLOS – Around 600 jeepney drivers will attend the Araw ng Lingkod Lansangan slated on September 11, 2016 at 8:00 am at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city as part of the Singkaban Festival activities.

The Provincial Administrator’s Office will convene the members of the Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association (JODA) to strengthen their association and give them a half day of fun and entertainment.

Also, a fellowship and singing contest dubbed as JODA Got Talent will be held for the members of the said association.

Attendees will also receive gift packs.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that it is the Provincial Government of Bulacan’s way to show them how grateful the government is for their dedication to their job and to inspire them to continue their services in providing safe and smooth public transportation every day.

“Umaasa kaming magiging daan ito upang magganyak sila na mas lalong pagbutihin ang kanilang pagsisilbi sa mga pasahero at maging katuwang ng gobyerno sa adbokasiya nitong paghahatid ng ligtas sa mga biyahero at responsableng paraan ng pagmamaneho sa mga lansangan sa lalawigan,” Alvarado said.
