CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulakenyo concert-goers were treated to a night of good music as the alternative rock band Hale and former IV of Spades frontman Unique Salonga entertained them at the Sun Singkaban Youth Concert held at the Bulacan Sports Complex in Brgy. Sta Isabel here last Friday night.

Unique Salonga serenaded the crowd with his new song “Bukod-Tangi”, and charmed the concert-goers with his other songs such as “Goodnight Prayer”, “Sino”, “Midnight Sky”, “Ozone” and “Lamang Lupa”.

Doubling the entertainment, Hale front man Champ Lui Pio, together with lead guitarist Roll Martinez, bassist Sheldon Gellada, band drummer Paolo Santiago and violinist Chino David, captured the whole crowd when they started performing their remarkable songs like “My Beating Heart”, “Pitong Araw”, “The Day You Said Goodnight”, “Kahit Pa”, “Blue Sky”, and their own rendition of the song “Chasing Cars”.

Before the main acts, Lunar Lights, a local band from Bulacan, hyped the whole concert venue and proved that Bulakenyos have undeniable talents.

Meanwhile, Julius Infante, a concert-goer, said that he’s always looking forward to attend the Singkaban Youth Concert every year, which gives him the opportunity to meet other people with the same music interest.

“Every year inaabangan ko ‘yung Singkaban dahil kakaiba ang feeling ‘pag nandun ka. Hindi ka lang mag-eenjoy, makakakilala ka pa ng different kinds of people pero magkaka¬¬¬¬isa kayo dahil parehas kayong nag-enjoy sa gabi,” he said.

After the feel-good concert, Bulakenyos got to experience the first ever drone show that displayed various shapes and characters along with the glittering lights of spectacular fireworks prepared by Solar Harvest, an award-winning pyrotechnics maker from Bocaue town.
