CITY OF MALOLOS – Good news poured for the Bulacan Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers’ Association (BFJODA) officials and members during the day dedicated for them dubbed as “Araw ng Lingkod Lansangan” held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city yesterday.

Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region 3 Regional Director Ahmed Quizon represented by Jesus Sison announced the distribution of the Pantawid Pasada fuel cards with P5,000 fuel subsidy for 6,022 Bulakenyo jeepney drivers and operators on September 15 at the LTFRB Regional Office at the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado declared that jeepneys will be able to enter the Capitol Compound again, which was previously stopped because of the renovation of buildings and structures inside the compound.

Also, Committee on Transportation Chairman and Board Member Therese Cheryll Ople broadcasted the passage of the Bulacan Transportation and Management Code at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, which is just awaiting for the signature of Vice Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Alvarado.

The Araw ng Lingkod Lansangan is part of the monthlong celebration of Singkaban Festival 2018 anchored on the theme “Pamanang Kalinangan ng Nakaraan, Gabay sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan.”
