Fernando assures environmental balance and resilience against calamities amid Bulacan airport

CITY OF MALOLOS- Governor Daniel R. Fernando ensured the Bulakenyos that there would be environmental balance and enhanced resilience against calamities in connection to the soon-to-rise Bulacan airport during the 169th Birth Anniversary of Gat Marcelo H. Del Pilar held at the great propagandist’s shrine at San Nicolas, Bulakan, Bulacan this morning.

“The new airport is expected to bring trillion of dollars in economic activity, 35 million tourists annually and 1 million tourism-related jobs more than enough for every job seeking person in our province. According to plans, it is envisioned to provide more and better opportunities for our people while ensuring, ito po higit sa lahat, environmental balance and enhancing resilience against calamities,” the governor said.

He added that the developments that are happening in the Province of Bulacan today is the province Del Pilar envisioned it to be.

“Hindi isang pagkakataon lamang na dito mismo sa bayang sinilangan ng isang dakilang Bulakenyo lalapag ang buong mundo. Kaya dapat tayong maghanda sapagkat ang bunga ng kaunlaran ay darating na sa hapag ng bawat pamilyang Bulakenyo,” Fernando added.

Meanwhile, Vice Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado honored Plaridel and said that he became an embodiment of bravery and stability to all the Filipinos.

“Katulad ni Plaridel, simulan natin ang pagsusulong ng pagbabago sa pamamagitan ng positibong aksyon una sa ating mga sarili at pagkatapos ay sa ating lipunan,” Alvarado said.
Aside from Fernando and Alvarado, Bulakan Mayor Vergel Meneses, Grand Master of the Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines Most Worshipful Agapito Suan, Jr., and National Press Club of the Philippines President Rolly Gonzalo represented by Bulacan Press Club President Frederick Silverio also expressed their message of gratitude to the Bulakenyo hero.

The commemoration was made possible through the joint efforts of the Provincial Government of Bulacan, Municipal Government of Bulakan and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
