CITY OF MALOLOS- The selfless sacrifices of four Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) employees were honored as PGB’s Programs on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) recognized them during the conduct of the Gawad Pagpapahalaga sa Matapat na Paglilingkod 2020 held last December 18, 2020 at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city.

Aquilina Cruz of Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital, Engr. Ferdinand Morales and Dr. Samantha Karla Inoncillo of the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC), and Rosemarie Guirre of Bulacan Polytechnic College were conferred with the Gawad Dakilang Frontliner award and each received P20,000 cash prize and trophy.

Also, Dr. Cherryl Manoos of Plaridel Infirmary and Dr. Cynthia Basco of Baliuag District Hospital each received a Recuerdo ng Paglilingkod as finalists of the awards program.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando saluted the winners, the finalists, and all the employees for continuing to serve the Bulakenyos despite the hazards that may be brought by COVID-19.

“Hindi po biro ang magserbisyo ngayong panahon ng pandemya. Hindi mo sigurado kung mahahawa ka ng virus, hindi mo siguro kung kapag nahawahan ka ay makakaligtas ka ba. Talaga namang nakakatakot, napakahirap. Ganunpaman, patuloy tayong nagsasakripisyo dahil hindi pwedeng maantala ang mga serbisyo para sa ating mamamayan,” the governor said.

As a surprise, PRAISE Chairperson Atty. Gabriel Silvera and Secretariat Cynthia Abiol also conferred the governor with a Recuerdo ng Pagkilala for his untiring service to the Bulakenyos despite having acquired the virus himself.

Meanwhile, 125 PGB employees were awarded with the Gawad Pagpapahalaga sa Matapat na Paglilingkod to honor their long years of service to the PGB.

Ten of them are gold awardees for serving for 40 years; 29 received silver award for being 30 years in service; and 24 are bronze awardees for working in the PGB for 20 years.

Also, 51 retirees were conferred with the Service Award while 11 were given Posthumous Award, which their family received in their behalf.

“Hindi po ang dami lang ng taon ng pagta-trabaho o pagseserbisyo dito ang ating pinapahalagahan bagkus kinikilala natin ang malaking naiambag, naisakripisyo o naialay na oras, lakas at talino para makapagbigay ng maaasahan at epektibong serbisyo para sa mga Bulakenyo,” Fernando said.
