CITY OF MALOLOS– To bolster and support the realization of Bulacan’s image as the ideal investment and business hub in the Philippines, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Undersecretary and Managing Head of the Board of Investments (BOI) Dr. Ceferino S. Rodolfo and Governor Daniel R. Fernando led the launching of the Invest Bulacan PLUS held at Casie’s Restaurant, Brgy. Dakila in this city today.

The PLUS in Invest Bulacan PLUS means to Promote, Leverage, Upscale, and Synergize the development and investment promotion efforts of all stakeholders, both government and non-government sectors towards Bulacan’s sustainable and inclusive growth.

With all the high-ticket projects including the Bulacan International Airport, Megaworld, and Mega City being developed in the province, the trade and industry undersecretary shared his vision for Bulacan.

“Seeing the development in Bulacan, I think we could really work at developing Bulacan as Bulacan, not just because it is near to Metro Manila, not just because it is the gateway from Metro Manila to Central Luzon, and vice versa, but because of the impressive economic development of Bulacan,” Rodolfo said.

Meanwhile, Fernando cited the recent economic recognitions received by the province including the 8th place as the Most Competitive Province from the National Competitiveness Council, Top 7 Fastest Growing Province in the Philippines, and Top 4 Contributing Province in the 2022 National Gross Domestic Product from the Philippine Statistics Authority, and said that the Invest Bulacan PLUS will serve as the solid foundation ready to attract more investments and create jobs for the Bulakenyos.

“Naniniwala po ako na ang tunay na kasaganaan ng isang pamayanan ay matatamo sa pamamagitan ng masiglang kalakalan at kabuhayan na nilalangkapan ng sipag at tiyaga ng nagkakaisang mamamayan,” the governor said.

Moreover, Rodolfo and Fernando signed the Memorandum of Agreement on the Promotion, and Facilitation of Investments and Investor Servicing between the Provincial Government of Bulacan and the DTI-BOI.
