Daniel R. Fernando takes oath as the 35th Governor of Bulacan

THE PEOPLE’S GOVERNOR. Governor Daniel R. Fernando takes his oath of office before Executive Judge Olivia V. Escubio-Samar as the 35th Governor of the Province of Bulacan, which was witnessed by his family headed by his mother, Luningning Gonzalvo (wearing green) during the “Sabayang Panunumpa sa Tungkulin ng mga Bagong Halal na Opisyal sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan” held at Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, City of Malolos, Bulacan earlier today.

CITY OF MALOLOS – Daniel R. Fernando launched his priority project “The People’s Agenda 10” as he took oath as the 35th Governor of the Province of Bulacan during the “Sabayang Panunumpa sa tungkulin ng mga Bagong Halal na Opisyal ng Lalawigan ng Bulacan” held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city today, June 28, 2019.

During his speech, the elected father of the province of Bulacan discussed his administration’s priorities including health, education, livelihood, agriculture, social services, infrastructure, tourism and culture, environment, peace and order, and good governance.

According to Fernando, he, together with his partner Vice Governor-elect Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, will work hand in hand to continue the progress of the province and he will be an example as the governor of the people and the servant of all.

“On my honor and as my solemn duty to God and my country, I will listen to the call of people for good governance. Sa tulong ninyong lahat, ako si Daniel R. Fernando at ang aking mga kasamahan sa paglilingkod ay maninindigan para sa pinapangarap nating ganap na kaunlaran at pagbabago sa lipunan. It is a social transformation based on good governance with honesty and integrity,” the incoming governor said.

The oath taking of Fernando; Alvarado; Representatives Jose Antonio R. Sy-Alvarado, Gavini Pancho, Lorna Silverio, Henry Villarica and Rida Robes of first to fourth district respectively; and Board Members Allan Andan, Mina Fermin, Jong Ople, Pechay Dela Cruz, Ramon Posadas, RC Nono Castro, Emily Viceo, Jon-jon Delos Santos, Alex Castro and Allan Ray Baluyot were officiated by Executive Judge Olivia V. Escubio-Samar.

Meanwhile, the governor-elect presided the oath of the majors, vice mayors and councilors of the three cities and 21 municipalities of the province.

Fernando or Cesar Ramirez in real life started his political career as a Kabataang Barangay Chairman from 1981 to 1984, two-termed board member of the Second District of Bulacan from 2001 to 2006, and three-termed vice governor from 2010 to 2019.
