Chef Boy Logro graces Kalutong Bulakenyo, features heroes’ favorite dishes

CITY OF MALOLOS – It’s going to be a treat for Bulakenyo foodies as Chef Boy Logro cooks the favorite dishes of our country’s heroes in a cooking competition dubbed as “Kalutong Bulakenyo” on September 14, 2015, 1:00 pm at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center.

Nine contenders from the three categories including Samahan ng mga Kababaihan sa Nayon, employees of the Provincial Government of Bulacan and students who made their way to the finals will compete.

The activity, which is part of the Singkaban Festival 2015 celebration, aims to highlight the Bulakenyos’ talent in cooking wherein the recipes were derived from the book written by Mrs. Milagros S. Enriquez from Bulakan, Bulacan.

Dishes will be rated according to palatability or flavour, taste and blending; nutritive value; preparation; and presentation.

Winners for each category will receive a plaque of recognition and cash incentive amounting to P12,000 for the first place, P8,000 for the second place and P5,000 for the third place.

Contenders are reminded to bring their own cooking utensils, gas stove and other tools used in the food preparation as well as self protecting gears like face mask, hair net and apron.

A contestant may also bring an individual to assist him during the competition.

Prior to this, the elimination round was held from August 17-19, 2015.
