Bulakenyos to unite in a day of thanksgiving and forgiveness

CITY OF MALOLOS – Anchored on the theme “Sama-samang Pasasalamat at Pananalangin para sa Pagkakaisa at Kaunlaran sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan,” the Provincial Government of Bulacan will once again hold a Day of Prayer as part of the 5th Year Anniversary of the Four Pillars of Bulacan on June 8, 2015, 2:30 in the fake breitling navitimer afternoon at the Hiyas Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city.

Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said the event aims to unite the Bulakenyos in a day of thanksgiving and forgiveness because it is necessary to worship and give thanks to the Lord for the peace, unity and continuous progress and development of the province.

Alvarado also encourages the Bulakenyos to join the solemn ceremony and pray for the safety of everyone from the possible occurrence of a powerful earthquake that could cause massive destruction of the 47-year-old Angat Dam.

“Magsama-sama tayong manalangin ng taus-puso para sa ating lalawigan at sa ating bansa dahil ito ang mga panahon na dapat ay lagi tayong handa sa anumang sakuna o delubyo. It’s always better to unite and pray for our safety at tayo’y patuloy na magpasalamat sa kaligtasan at mga biyayang patuloy na ibinibigay ng Poong Maykapal,” the governor said.

Hundreds of Bulakenyos are expected to participate in the event that includes different religious leaders and support groups, provincial and local government officials, heads and employees of the PGB, teachers and students from Bulacan State University and Bulacan Polytechnic College and many more.

The event will start with a doxology from Ms. Fiona Tiu and will be followed by the ecumenical prayer by the Four Pillars of Bulacan headed by Rev. Joel Lombos of Cadence-Bulacan, Rev. Cezar Sacdalan of Alliance for Values Formation in Bulacan, Bishop Bert Chan of Replica Rolex Watches Baptist Church and Bishop Ephrain Perez of Interfaith Bulacan.

To conclude, the Bulakenyos will sing “Lord Heal Our Land” to be lead by Himig ng Bulakenyo and Hiyas ng Bulacan Brass Band coinciding the lighting of candles and offering prayer and commitment of the participants to promote peace and order in the province.
