Bulacan upholds children’s welfare and protection

CITY OF MALOLOS – The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado continues to show support and promote children’s welfare and protection against child abuse as the governor stressed the vital role of children and youth in nation building during the Provincial Children’s Congress 2015 held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city, yesterday.

With the theme, “Komunidad at Pamahalaan Magkaisa, Pang-aabuso sa Bata, Wakasan Na,” Alvarado emphasized the importance of investing in children by providing for their necessities so that they may be able to contribute in achieving a sustainable development later on and at the same time, be able to address the most disturbing aspects of poverty through child-related interventions.

“Marapat nating iparamdam sa mga kabataan ang kanilang kahalagahan sa pagbuo ng isang matatag na bansa. Patuloy nating susuportahan ang kanilang mga pangangailangan at karapatan dahil sila ang magtataguyod ng isang maunlad na bansa sa hinaharap. Sama-sama nating pigilan ang pang-aabuso sa mga bata para sa kanilang kinabukasan,” the governor said.

Meanwhile, talented Bulakenyo kids from different day care centers and child care institutions in the province gathered for the event and showcased their talents that are truly considered as prides of Bulacan.

Champions in each category received cash incentives and trophies including Ally Jandra Jill from Longos, Calumpit Day Care Center (Poem Reciting), Chloe Amber Jazz Bernal from San Pascual, Obando Day Care Center (Singing), Jiliann Raine Pascual from Bitungol, Norzagaray Day Care Center (Drawing), and the kids from Rueda, Plaridel Day Care Center (Folk Dancing).
