Sy-Alvarado added another honor to the province after the Bulacan PDRRMC was hailed as Bakas Parangal ng Kadakilaan awardee in the recently concluded Bakas Parangal Awarding Ceremony held at the Department of National Defense Social Hall, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

In the speech of the defense secretary delivered by Department of National Defense Usec. Cardozo M. Luna, the outstanding display of courage and selflessness relieved the great peril brought by disasters.
Luna read.
Prior this award, Bulacan already garnered 90 recognitions including the National Gawad Kalasag Hall of Famer Award and two-time Regional Gawad Kalasag Hall of Fame Award.
Bakas Parangal is a recognition of merit and token of thanksgiving bestowed by the NDRRMC to individuals or groups who have exerted exemplary and extraordinary acts of compassion in reaching out to those who are in urgent need of assistance in times of calamities.
