Bulacan opens Provincial Athletic Meet

CITY OF MALOLOS – Students of select schools both in elementary and secondary from EDDIS 1 to 6, National Vocational Athletic Association (NVSSA), and Bulacan Private School Association (BulPriSA) will contend in 17 sporting events as part of the Bulacan Provincial Athletic Meet that opened at the Bulacan Sports Complex in this city yesterday.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro showed their support to the student-athletes and recalled how the Province of Bulacan took home the overall champion in the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) Meet 2023.

“Ngayon pa lamang ay nais ko ng batiin ang ating mga mag-aaral sa inyong dedikasyong pagyamanin ang inyong kakayahan. Pasalamatan din natin ang inyong mga pamilya at trainers sa kanilang pagsuporta sa inyong pangarap. Sana ay lagi ninyo rin silang isama sa bawat tagumpay na inyong makakamit,” the governor said.

All activities and sporting events including basketball, volleyball, athletics, swimming, baseball, lawn tennis, table tennis and paragames in Bulacan Sports Complex in the City of Malolos; gymnastics in Norzagaray Elementary School in Norzagaray; archery in San Miguel National High School, San Miguel; boxing in Elorde Gym in Guiguinto; badminton in JCAS Sport Alley in the City of Malolos; sepak takraw in the covered court of Brgy. Guinhawa, City of Malolos; futsal in Guiguinto National Vocational High School in Guiguinto; football in Fortunato F. Halili National Agricultural High School in Santa Maria; dance sports in Guiguinto Central School in Guiguinto; and arnis in Guiguinto Municipal Athletic and Cultural Center in Guiguinto will be simultaneously conducted from February 21 to 24.

Winners of the Provincial Athletic Meet will proceed to compete in CLRAA, wherein the victors will be the representatives to the Palarong Pambansa. ###
