Bulacan, DOLE team up to give aid to more than 400 Bulakenyos

CITY OF MALOLOS – The Department of Labor and Employment in cooperation with the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office (PYSPESO) distributed livelihood assistance to 497 Bulakenyos.

In the recently concluded Singkaban Festival, it enveloped the programs of DOLE and PYSPESO including 227 recipients of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Payout; 210 individuals who underwent Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP); 50 students graduated from the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) while 10 bicycles with cellphones were distributed to 10 selected Bulakenyo workers as a start-up kit for their transportation delivery services.

Also included in the assistance to 210 DILP beneficiaries were 50 beneficiaries of massage wellness kit; 50 individuals were given welding machines; 50 persons received food processing equipment; 40 sewing machine starter kits; three Negokart for Indigenous People of Brgy. San Mateo, Norzagaray and 20 individuals got oven machines.

Meanwhile, each TUPAD beneficiary included in the low-income bracket received P4,200 while SPES beneficiaries received P6,300.

Bulacan Gov. Daniel R. Fernando, Board Member Alexis C. Castro and DOLE Bulacan Chief May Lynn C. Gozun led the said program.

Bello III at ating Senador Joel Villanueva na laging nakasuporta sa lalawigan ng Bulacan. Para po sa mga benepisyaryo, sinupin at paunlarin po sana ninyo ang mga tulong na inyong natanggap para po sa ikabubuti ng inyong kabuhayan at pamilya. Patuloy lamang po tayong magdasal, magpakatatag at malalampasan din natin ang mga pagsubok na ito.” ###
