Bulacan continues to boost its tourism industry

CITY OF MALOLOS – In a bid to further boost the tourism industry in the province, the Provincial Government of Bulacan continues to intensify the creation and implementation of programs and activities that will showcase the rich culture and wonderful tourism sites in the province.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado reported the accomplishments in the sector of history, arts and culture during his State of the Province Address (SOPA) held at the Bulwagang Senador Benigno S. Aquino Jr. inside the Capitol Building yesterday.

“Upang manatili at maikintal sa isipan ng mga Bulakenyo at mga turista ang makukulay na sining at hitik na kasaysayan ng lalawigan, nagsagawa ng mga film showing, exhibits, symposia, at lecture series conferences sa iba’t ibang paaralan sa lalawigan,” Alvarado said.

He also said that PGB conducted media tours through the cooperative partnership of Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office and Provincial Public Affairs Office to promote the rich history and wonderful tourist spots in Bulacan.

The governor also highlighted the donation of books to the 85 libraries in the province through the cooperation of National Library of the Philippines.

Alvarado also reported the successful trainings of the librarians from different schools and 21 towns and three cities in the province.

The governor also added that the creation of Provincial Arts and Culture Council has been a great help in promoting the rich historical heritage of the province that played a vital role in the national history.
