Bulacan adapts uniform travel protocols of IATF

CITY OF MALOLOS- Travel authority and COVID testing are now not required before entering the Province of Bulacan as Governor Daniel R. Fernando implements the uniform travel protocol of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases in his latest executive order issuance.

According to Section 4 of the Executive Order No. 5, series of 2021 signed by Fernando last February 28, 2021, the standardized travel protocols for land, sea, and air as provided under Resolution No. 101, series of 2021 issued by the IATF are adapted in all cities and municipalities of Bulacan.

Fernando said that he fully supports the move of the national government.

“Naniniwala po tayo na ito ay kanilang pinag-aralang mabuti at kanilang nakikita na ito ay makatutulong sa ating bansa. Lubos po ang ating panalangin na ang hakbang na ito ay simula na ng unti-unting pagbabalik sa normal ng ating pamumuhay lalo pa at nariyan na po ang bakuna laban sa COVID-19,” the governor said.

The governor also said that unless the domestic traveler has symptoms, there is no need to undergo quarantine.

Also in the same executive order, the provincial chief executive directed all local government units to continue the implementation of containment strategies and targeted lockdowns of areas where confirmed COVID-19 infections and transmissions are high, subject to the concurrence of the Regional IATF.

Meanwhile, the implementation of the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) is extended in the Province of Bulacan until midnight of March 31, 2021. ###
