ATOP, Bulacan join hands to boost tourism

CITY OF MALOLOS – Tourism officers from different parts of the country are headed to Bulacan to participate in the 4th Quarter Board Meeting of the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) to be held on December 9, 2015 at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city.

The meeting aims to plan programs to further boost the country’s tourism and to better introduce the best of Bulacan has to offer.

“Katuwang natin ang ATOP sa pagpapaunlad ng turismo ng bansa kaya naman ipakikita natin sa kanila kung bakit dapat din pasyalan ang Bulacan. Sila mismo ang makapagsasabi kung bakit ang lalawigan ng Bulacan ay sinasabing hitik sa kasaysayan, may makulay na sining at kultura at mayaman sa mga hindi pangkaraniwang pook pasyalan”, said Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado.

The three-day meeting also includes familiarization together with the Association of Tourism Officers of Bulacan (ATOB) and tours around the towns of Pulilan, Baliwag and City of Malolos.

Meanwhile, Dr. Eliseo Dela Cruz, head of the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office, said that there will also be a Governor’s Night showcasing some of Bulacan’s arts and crafts, entertainment from local artists, and crafts demo which includes Puni, Pabalat and singkaban.

Later in the evening, the Christmas tree, which is made of Singkaban will be lighted in the Provincial Government of Bulacan.
